Feng Shui & Vastu Shastra |
A Geomancy called feng-shui (wind and
water and pronounced Fung Sh-Way) in China, is the art of healthful arrangement
of rooms, furniture and buildings to effect spiritual, psychological and
physical well-being. Working with the vibrations and energies all elements,
including fire, earth, air and water and all directions, north, south, east and
west, Feng Shui brings harmony into the mundane physical world by means of
spiritual and esoteric vibrations.
Our practitioner, Patricia, incorporates her knowledge of Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra into her experience in interior and exterior design consultations, including construction and remodeling. Vastu Shastra is an older form of Feng Shui and originated in India several millennia ago, eventually arriving in China via Tibet, in the form of Feng Shui.
Some form of these two energy disciplines has been an integral part of life in Asia for thousands of years. These two compile the art and science of living in harmony with one’s environment for health, wealth, and well-being.
More than just moving furniture, and selecting coordinating colors and fabrics that pull together a “look,” these ancient teachings show the direct relationship between what is happening in the energy of one’s environment and what is going on in one’s life. The connection is profound, and may seem unnatural, but understanding and using these principles can offer a level of influence over events never before experienced.
Patricia uses three aspects in her approach: Environmental, working directly with the space and applying traditional approaches and techniques; financial, addressing and modifying the feelings around wealth and the way money is handled; and, inner, the way the interior environment of our minds is formed by beliefs, attitudes, and expectations. The combination of all three of these approaches can be extraordinary. |
